Diesel Exhaust Fluid (DEF)
Diesel exhaust fluid (DEF) used in vehicles with Selective Catalytic Reduction
(SCR) technology to reduce harmful gases being released into the atmosphere. DEF is a 32.5 % solution of high-purity, synthetically manufactured
urea in de-mineralized water, in compliance with ISO 22241. It is safe-to-use
fluid. DEF is categorized by the Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) as
safe for use since it is non-toxic, non-flammable, non-hazardous, non-polluting, and biodegradable.
Diesel Exhaust Fluid (DEF) is a solution of water and urea that's injected into diesel vehicles to reduce harmful emissions.
AUS 40 is a 40% aqueous urea solution (AUS) that is used as a Diesel Exhaust Fluid (DEF). It is also known as Marine DEF.
Diesel Exhaust Fluid (DEF) AUS 50% is a liquid solution of urea and water that's used to reduce nitrogen oxide emissions from diesel engines.
HOW AUTOZOLV DEF WORKS
The SCR system injects AUTOZOLV DEF directly into the exhaust stream. When it enters the catalytic converter, it reacts with the AUTOZOLV DEF from the combusted diesel – producing non-hazardous, naturally occurring nitrogen and water. Due to its stringent quality standards, AUTOZOLV DEF is safe to use across all diesel engines with SCR.
